And here it is! Trying a new pattern and new technique. This intermediate pattern was easier that I anticipated. I think that I will chose shades of blue, gray, beige and white to make my first Marguerite tapestry throw.
At the age of eight, on a road trip to San Antonio, Texas, my Dad made a rest stop at a Drug Store in New Braunfels and allowed Connie, Lisa and I (TaRita was a newborn) to have our pick of anything in the store to keep us occupied so that we could peacefully continue on our journey to San Antonio. As I perused through the aisles of candy, snacks, crossword and coloring books, I spotted a crochet kit which included a beginner crochet book, yarn and hook. I couldn’t wait to get back in the car so that I could begin to learn this new art form. I believe that I didn’t even eat my snacks as I was thoroughly engaged in mastering my new craft! Upon reaching our vacation destination, I had taught myself to crochet a chain, a circle and the beginnings of a square! The rest is history.
As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, I challenge you to use your free time to learn a new skill.
Stay tuned on my progress.
Happy crocheting, ❤️❤️❤️
Sweet memories!
