My 1936 Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine - Model 128 Hand Crank with a Bentwood Case

I recently purchased another Singer Featherweight to add to my collection. This Singer hand crank sewing machine was purchased from eBay. It is adorned with Celtic Knot decorations and has the beautiful scrolled face plate and side cover plates.

The hand crank device runs the machine smoothly without any friction. It sews perfect top and bottom stitches. All functions, bobbin winder, tensioner, stitch length and thread release are in perfect working order.

The machine comes with the bullet shuttle and barbell bobbin along with some attachments and vintage tools. I will have to search the Internet to find out the names of the attachments and to learn how each works.

Since it is a Singer, I am sure that it is a great sewing machine and made to last a lifetime.

The lovely bentwood case is also in superb condition and is a great addition to my vintage machine.

I am looking forward to using it for my next project. I will just have to get used to cranking the machine while guiding my fabric. I’m sure that with all things, practice makes perfect.
