Pound Cake, Anyone?


Recently, I discovered Sweet Neecy's cake mix on Facebook. I purchased four different flavors, vanilla, red velvet, spice and chocolate.


I baked the vanilla pound cake as my first attempt. To the mix, the recipe called for four eggs at room temperature and one cup of whole milk at room temperature, and two sticks of softened butter.


For extra flavor, I decided to add a quarter cup of freshly squeezed orange juice and orange zest. I'm sure that lemon juice and lemon zest would have tasted good, too.


What a delicious zesty orange vanilla pound cake! I can't wait to try the other three flavors.



I baked some mini Bundt cakes, too. 😋
