I am currently taking an online quilting class from Ruth de Vos. The pieced pattern is called Flowering Gum.
It consists of sixteen 16” colorful blocks of flowers and leaves.
I’ve spent the past few days taping the pattern blocks together and tracing them on fusible interfacing.
Next, it’s cutting and ironing the pattern onto the fabric and finally sewing the first of sixteen blocks on my recently acquired 1936 Singer Featherweight sewing machine.
I may even hand sew some of the blocks when I am on the go and away from home.
