Quilter’s Clapper

Now, this clapper is a work of art! I am sure that all of my quilting seams will easily lie flat using this beautiful wood.

A tailor’s clapper is a flat block of hardwood that is used in quilting.

After ironing a seam, place the clapper on the seam. The heat from the iron is absorbed by the wood, which helps flatten the seam as it cools, resulting in beautifully flat seams on your quilt blocks.

Happy quilting!
